She's back! A legend from the Great British Bake Off, Christine was a quarter finalist in 2013. It may seem a long time ago, but she still has her culinary sparkle and has gained more through all the interesting projects she's been involved with since.
With a gentle, patient and calm teaching style, everything is explained very clearly with lots of tips and tricks to help. You will come away from this session with three lovely showstoppers that will WOW your friends and family, plus the skills, knowledge and confidence to do it all over again at home.
If you are a Bake Off fan, the added bonus is all the 'behind the camera' tales that Christine relates as you bake. It provides a real insight into what the process is to get on to the programme, how it is filmed and what it is really like. Most unexpected question she's been asked so far is "What does Paul Hollywood smell like?"
The menu today features three recipes that Christine was complimented on during the show:
- lemon meringue roulade, including making your own lemon curd
- Ninety Niners - brandy snap cones containing delicious fillings that end up looking like mini ice creams. Awarded Star Baker the week she made these on GBBO
- macarons - tricky to make unless you know all the pifalls and how to avoid them. A bag/box of these makes a perfect gift
The class is a busy hands-on session. All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be supplied PLUS we will do the washing up!
The small group size (maximum 19) enables you to get plenty of attention, whether you want to be helped or stretched. You will be working in a friendly and sociable environment.
