Watch your food being prepared in front of you - see raw ingredients transformed into delicious dishes right before your eyes. 

'Chef's Table' is a popular trend in London and has become a feature of upmarket restaurants.Customers book a table in the kitchen, where they can see their food being cooked and hear the Chef's anecdotes, hints and tricks; whilst enjoying fantastic food and wine. Enjoy a Chef’s Table evening at Vaughan’s Cookery School with Tom Dodd, a highly experienced and well qualified chef who is Head Chef (Events) at Vaughan's Kitchen. He will prepare authentic dishes from the region of Spain that boasts over 55 Michelin star restaurants.  The Catalan Region sees itself as a separate entity from the rest of Spain and is proud of its capital city, Barcelona. 

Lots of tips and wrinkles from a professional that will help you enjoy the food more and perhaps improve your culinary skills.

Welcome drink on arrival (alcoholic and non-alcoholic version available)

Traditional Pinchos

Pa amb Tomaquet - grilled sour dough bread with tomato, garlic and olive oil - known as Pan con Tomate in other parts of Spain

Bacalla fritters - salted cod is widely eaten in Catalonia and stems back over 100s of years of Spanish history

Croquettes au jamon - one of the most popular pinchos served in Barcelona and also known as ‘pequena bombas ‘( small bombs) . The name seems to refer back to the Spanish civil war when Barcelona was a dangerous place to wander.  

Main course

Merluza ( Hake) cooked Catalonian style with Aioli - Learn the art of cooking fish correctly and rediscover what is so special about hake. The Spanish idolise the fish and buy a lot of it from the UK

Vegetarian option (please request on booking) Esparragos con Huevos - local grilled asparagus with poached eggs in red wine 

Main course served with Patas Bravas & Escalivada Picada - grilled vegetables with ground pine nut paste. 

Dessert

Creme Catalan - the most famous dessert of the region and a tribute to the oranges of Valencia married with the uniqie taste of freshly roasted cinnamon bark

The price covers food and drink. Anita Hodgson, who has a wide knowledge of suitable food/drink pairings, will select wines to accompany the dishes and prepare an information sheetto take away with you. Non alcoholic drinks will be available as an alternative.

Coffee/tea/herbal tea wil be served at the end of the meal.

The evening  is an eating experience first and foremost and so there is no hands on cooking by the customer.
