Showcasing ingredients from the South West - apples 

Tonight's 'Chef's Table' introduces Aimee Applegate, Vaughan's Kitchen Apprentice Chef who is currently on the prestigious 3 year Specialised Chefs course at Bournemouth & Poole College. Born in Bath and brought up in Frome, she has a passion for produce from the area, so she will be making for you a three course meal that uses ingredients that are synonomous with the South West. These dishes will form part of her final Royal Academy of Culinary Arts exam next summer.

The star on tonight's menu is the apple, plentiful in this corner of the country, as is the cider that is well-known to be of the best quality.  The theme also pays homage to her name!  Aimee will cook the dishes for you whilst telling you what she is doing and why.  You then enjoy the meal with some matching wines and beverages.

Slow-roasted Pork Belly, Smoked Mash, Cavalo Nero, Caramelised Cox Apple, Sticky Cider Jus

Humble Leek Crumble with Scrumpy Cider Cheddar Sauce (v)

Buffalo Milk Rice Pudding with Spiced Discovery Apple

Apple Compote with Cornish Fairing

The price covers food and drink and the beverages (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) have been selected to compliment the dishes.

Coffee/tea/herbal tea wil be served at the end of the meal.

The evening  is an eating experience first and foremost and so there is no hands on cooking by the customer.
