There has been a lot of publicity recently about the amount of meat we eat in the West and the effect it has on the planet, farming methods and our health.  We have always made many of our classes suitable for vegetarians and vegans and know that it is very important to address what and how we eat seriously. 

Tom Dodd, Head Chef - Events, has been influenced by all that he has heard and read recently and has adopted a vegan diet.  He has paid more attention to plant based dishes and has discovered the exciting and varied tastes and textures that it offers.  This session is suitable for anyone who wants interesting ideas for reducing or eliminating their meat intake, whether for ethical or health reasons. 

On the menu this evening

  • 3 ingredient Vegan flat breads
  • Chickpea, sweet potato, spinach & coconut curry w/rice pilaff 

  •  Bruschetta with avocado, roasted pepper & sautéed tofu

  •  Vegannaise (the vegan answer to mayonnaise)

  •  Chocolate, orange & hazelnut brownies served with coconut cream (the vegan answer to Chantilly cream

This class is hands-on and busy! Ingredients, equipment and aprons are provided - plus we do the washing up!

Whatever your skill level the small group size (maximum 10) enables you to get plenty of attention, whether you want to be helped or stretched.  You will be working in a friendly and sociable environment.

Supper with wine will complete the experience and you will have plenty of goodies to take away with you.
