From Nazareth to Bethlehem: the backpackers' culinary journey
Well-known for offering an interesting alternative to the traditional British Festive menu at his restaurant in the past, Peter Vaughan has applied his creative ideas to this pre-Christmas Chef's Table and will present a menu with a difference. Instead of turkey and mince pies, he will take you on an interesting culinary journey 'From Nazareth to Bethlehem', at this unique dinner party, where you will learn about and consume the sort of street food dishes that you might be likely to experience on a journey in the Holy Land..

Welcome drink on arrival (alcoholic and non-alcoholic version available)
Fadi (roasted courgette/zucchini with garlic and tahini)
Levant Gold (roasted carrots with caraway, dates & cashews)
Muhammara (raosted red pepper with walnuts & pomegranate molasses)
Served with za'ater flatbreads
Shish Touk (chicken marinated in Arabic 7 spice blend with almonds and lemon)
Vegetarian version of above with a cauliflower steak - only available is pre-ordered when booking
Aromatic rice with parsley, sultanas & crispy onions
Roasted figs & goats cheese with pistachios and wildflower blossom honey
Served with traditional fresh mint tea (but without the huge amount of sugar usually added - unless desired)
The price covers food and drink and the beverages (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) have been selected to compliment the dishes. The evening is an eating experience first and foremost and so there is no hands-on cooking by the customer.
