Complete with hot port punch on arrival, an authentic Portuguese menu, a roaring fire & live guitar music from Andrew Hurst - what better way to cheer up November.

Portuguese cuisine is so diverse & exciting in its flavours - they are masters of using clove, nutmeg, vinegar and wine in their cookery and making it taste fantastic. By the 15th century, Portugal had established itself as the first maritime global economic empire. It is no wonder that they love using exotic aromats in their food.
Hopefully you remember from history lessons in school learning about Vasco de Gama finding the sea trade route to India, Prince Henry the Navigator claiming the island Madeira and exploring the west coast of Africa and Alvares Cabrel discivering what would become known as Brazil.
It was the Age of Discovery. Tonight you can rediscover what you thought you know about piri piri!

Broe de Milho (Portuguese corn bread) & pickled vegetables in red wine vinegar

Platters of wild pheasant, rabbit & award winning free range chicken
Game is huge in Portugal & quite rightly so - it is sustainable, arrives without plastic packaging and is delicious
Flame roasted Piri Piri cauliflower steaks with wild hazelnut Romanesco dressing (plant based/vegan)
Fire roasted root vegetables
Batatas cozidas (potatoes slow cooked in red wine with nutmeg & thyme)
Pastel de Nata (egg custard tart) with wild cherry & Madeira cream
Vegan and gluten free version of the Pastel de Nata
