Following 25 years of teaching in Further Education, where she gained an understanding of how adults learn most effectively, her 16 years of experience in the catering industry has enabled her to develop her culinary skills so that they incorporate many ‘tricks of the trade’.

Having supported Peter Vaughan in setting up first of all The Healthy Cafe & Dining Room, then The Bistro & Cookery School, she now runs Vaughan's Cookery School where the primary focus is to give people the skills and confidence to apply what they learn in a creative way to whatever they are cooking.  However, she sees it as really important that they have a lot of fun and enjoyment in the process.

Never one for following recipes, Judy teaches the underlying principles of preparing good food.
